We love @the5spotnashville. Since 2014 it’s been the home of THE AUSSIE BBQ at @Americanafest in Nashville, which means this Saturday September 21 we’re celebrating the tenth birthday of the BBQ at The 5 Spot.

So come and celebrate with us at Americanafest, eat some Australian-style BBQ and discover your next favourite Australian artist. It starts at 11:30am. Free entry too! That old-fashioned link in bio will lead you to all the info on this year’s THE AUSSIE BBQ.

Next week in Hamburg we’re celebrating an annive

Next week in Hamburg we’re celebrating an anniversary - and saying goodbye to an old friend.

2024 marks ten years since Sounds Australia began hosting showcases of Australian artists at Germany’s @reeperbahn_festival, and since the start, @molotowclub has been the home of THE AUSSIE BBQ.

It’s one of our favourite venues in the world, with some of the best staff and crew you’ll find anywhere. Unfortunately, the owners of the building at Nobistor 14 are turning it into the hotel, so next Friday September 20 will be the last time THE AUSSIE BBQ takes place inside this particular venue.

The good news is that Molotow will live on! In 2025 it will move across the road to Reeperbahn 136, where acts like The Beatles and The Liverbirds played in the ‘60s when it was called the Top Ten Club. We’re so happy that Molotow will live on and we’re excited to see the new space.

So if you’re at the Reeperbahn Festival next Friday, come and discover your next favourite Australian act, and say goodbye to the current home of Molotow at the same time. Hit the 🔗 in our bio for all the info.

We’re celebrating 10 years of showcasing at the Reeperbahn Festival this year, and on Friday September 20 THE AUSSIE BBQ will take place for one last time at one of our favourite venues in the world, @molotowclub.

@Bigsound is just around the corner, and if you’re attending the conference in Brisbane next week, you’ll be able to catch a few members of our team moderating panels.

On Thursday September 5, you’ll find Esti Zilber moderating two panels, focused on exporting your music to Asia and UK/Europe.

The day before, on Wednesday, Glenny G will be moderating the Export USA panel.

They’ll both be joined by key industry who’ll give you the insider knowledge on their home markets and tell you what you need to know if you’re looking to break into new international territories.

Sounds Australia, in partnership with the Australi

Sounds Australia, in partnership with the Australian Guild of Screen Composers @australianguildscreencomposers, are now seeking expressions of interest from experienced and innovative local screen composers to make up the inaugural delegation of a Trade Mission in Los Angeles from 11th – 15th November 2024.

Applications close 30th August. Details and criteria are available at soundsaustralia.com.au and at the link in @soundsaustralia’s bio.

We’re heading to AIR Indie-Con in Adelaide this

We’re heading to AIR Indie-Con in Adelaide this week, and if you’re going too, you’ll be able to see our own @glennyg taking to the stage for a couple of panels.

First up, on Friday August 2 at 10:30am, Glenny will be moderating the panel Creating Content - How To Get Seen & Heard, asking questions to Dona Inthaxoum (@meta), @joshpyke, Reggie Ba-Pe (AWZA) and Sarah Hamilton (@golden_hour.me).

Then later that day, at 3:45pm, check out G’s debating skills as he takes part in the Music Industry Debate which will close out this year’s conference.

What a day in Central Park!

On Saturday, THE AUSSIE BBQ @SummerStage returned to New York City for a fourth year. Thank you to the thousands of New Yorkers who came to the park to see @jebediah_band, @lastdinosaurs, @northeastpartyhouse, @wearesheppard, @syccoworld and @thelmaplum perform. We hope you found yourself a new favourite Australian act.

It was an honour to have Chief Curtis of the Lenape, the first people of Manhattan, open the show with beautiful songs of his tribe, and we want to thank him for generously offering up his time to be there.

Earlier this month we hosted two showcases at the world’s largest country music festival, both at one of our favourite venues in Nashville: @the5spotnashville.
