From humble beginnings in the small country town of Coonamble NSW (Pop. 2750), to winning Australia’s biggest country music competition, playing national & international Country Music Festivals, being awarded 3 Golden Guitars in the last two years, and viral success for her Little More Country covers on socials with 25 million+ views and a cult following, Max Jackson has been on an amazing trajectory in Australian Country Music.
After 3 years of Covid turbulence 2022 was destined to be Max’s turning point. Max became the 42nd winner of Toyota Star Maker – Australia’s most prestigious country music competition. Winning Star Maker placed Max in the company of previous winners that include Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan, Brad Cox and New Zealand’s Kaylee Bell. Max took full advantage of her Star Maker win and spent the year travelling the country performing shows and playing major Country Music festivals as a part of the Star Maker prize. She rounded out the same year as a New Talent nominee in the Toyota 51st Golden Guitar Awards.
In 2023 the culmination of all Max Jackson’s efforts came together. She signed with the prestigious Stephen White Management (Lee Kernaghan, The Wolfe Brothers); she also secured a deal with ABC Music. Max was also invited to perform at CMA Fest in Nashville and at SXSW in Sydney. Towards the end of 2023, Max was named the official Ambassador for the Tamworth Music Festival and secured 2 x Golden Guitar nominations and eventually wins at the 52nd Australian Country Music Awards for Best Female Artist and Single of The Year for Little More Country.. while previously winning Best New Talent in January 2024.
After performing close to 100 shows in the last year, Max Jackson is not only the hottest new artist in the Australian country scene but she is also on is also one of the genre’s hardest working artists. Max’s first headline tour has kicked off and shows are selling out fast.
