Teenage Joans

Teenage Joans are the Adelaide emo punk duo Cahli and Tahlia, known for explosive live shows and razor sharp, emotionally charged songwriting. Bursting onto the scene in 2018, they quickly gained national attention after winning triple j Unearthed High in 2020 and releasing their debut EP Taste of Me. With multiple triple j Hottest 100 placements, seven South Australian Music Awards, and three consecutive Best Punk Artist wins (2022-2024), they have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting acts.

The band has toured extensively across Australia, the US and beyond, sharing stages with Foo Fighters, Sum 41, Amy Shark, Pale Waves, Ball Park Music, and Nothing But Thieves. They have performed at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Laneway, Good Things, and SXSW Austin, and showcased at Music Matters Singapore and The Great Escape in London.

In 2023, Teenage Joans released their debut album The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest, earning an ARIA nomination for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Album. Continuing to evolve, they released the single ‘Bandits’ and will embark on their debut UK headline tour in May 2026. Fiercely independent, creatively uncompromising and relentlessly energetic, Teenage Joans are stepping into their next era louder, sharper and more fearless than ever.
