THE AUSSIE BBQ has called Molotow home ever since we first started presenting showcases at Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival in 2014. So when they were forced to move out of their old venue this year, we naturally had to follow them down the road to Reeperbahn 136.
An iconic Hamburg location, Reeperbahn 136 was where The Beatles performed 92 times in 1961 when it was called the Top Ten Club. Molotow is continuing to honour that legacy by naming the downstairs room the Molotow Top Ten Bar.
On Friday 19 September, THE AUSSIE BBQ made its debut at the new Molotow, with 13 Australian acts showcasing across both levels of the venue for the afternoon, and while the building might be different, it still has that legendary Molotow heart and soul.
