Chris Lloyd
Berlin-based, Australian-born Chris Lloyd is a classically-trained concert pianist, writer, founder of the 1781 Collective, and event curator, who has been actively working for over a decade as a freelancing artistic powerhouse.
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music (London – 2014), he has been driven by one simple motivation: bringing classical music to new audiences, through innovative performance methods and exploring unchartered collaborations and territories.
With the 1781 Collective, he has developed a global network of artists (all driven towards developing a new classical music industry), whilst producing large-scale productions such as LABYRINTH: The Cabinet of Curiosities, MYSTERIUM, Pierrot in the Moonlight, each of which have been self-produced and supported by ticket sales and public funding.
Notably, he has brought classical music to places not ordinarily expected, including: Fusion Festival (2022 & 2023), Garbicz Festival (2021-2024), and Per Anhalter Festival (2023-2024), amongst several other performances from tech conferences to techno festivals. In 2024 he was invited by the University of Bergen (Norway) to give lectures about project development.
