Growing up in the small coastal city of Warrnambool in Australia, Flynn Gurry has been steadily building a reputation as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging artists. From busking the streets of Melbourne to packing out festival tents and touring nationally and internationally, Gurry’s journey has been defined by momentum, heart, and an unmistakable live presence. In recent years, he has spent extended periods performing throughout Europe, while also clocking up Australian shows supporting Pierce Brothers, Kim Churchill, The Dreggs, Matt Hansen and The 502s. Along the way, Gurry has appeared on major festival lineups such as Port Fairy Folk Festival, Beyond The Valley and Woodford Folk Festival, where he played to packed tents over the 2025/26 New Year period.

Renowned for his guitar dexterity, Gurry’s musical journey commenced from a young age, attending Port Fairy Folk Festival in his youth and ultimately fusing his love of pop influences and storytelling along with his adoration for folk music that would lead him to creating his own music and expanding his reputation busking around Melbourne; and ultimately capturing the attention of fellow folk and busking trailblazers Pierce Brothers in the process.

In 2024, Gurry won the coveted triple j Unearthed One Night Stand competition, along with G Flip, Thelma Plum, and DICE, as well as supporting The Dreggs extensive regional Australian tour. Finally closing out 2024 with a brilliant set at Beyond The Valley Festival.

In 2025, following a signing to ABC Music, Flynn started work on his next EP Gold, due out on March 13. Produced by ARIA award winner Joel Quatermaine. The first single released from this EP Don’t Stop Dreaming was a massive success, and with his new EP Gold, an Australian tour, AND a pop over to the UK for a festival run, 2026 is set out to be a break out for Flynn Gurry.
