MDS is an instrument swapping, thrash pop band from Melbourne, Australia. The independent duo has left a trail of enthusiastic and passionate fans in their wake across the globe. Mixing catchy pop melodies with punk rock riffs, and an infectiously energetic live show which is growing in reputation.
Touring worldwide, MDS have shared the stage with: Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, Hollywood Undead, Better Lovers, Cobra Starship, Soft Play, Soulfly, DZ Deathrays, NENA, Frenzal Rhomb, WAAX and more.
Their sophomore album Wise and Dangerous released April 4th, 2025 independently featuring collaborations with DZ Deathrays and Emmy Mack from Redhook. The record was toured around Australia with a sold-out Northcote Social Club and a close to sold out second show at the Tote in Melbourne; with just under 600 tickets sold for the hometown. The album charted at #3 on the Indie charts (AIR) and was nominated for the Australian Music Prize in 2025.
MDS performed at BIGSOUND Festival in 2025, resulting in a signing with Premier Artists for AU/NZ bookings and Peermusic for worldwide publishing. Previous years have featured six international Europe tours and a blazing headline set at Ziro Festival in Aranachal Pradesh, India. They just returned from the US for the first time with packed shows in Los Angeles and New York. As part of the 10th anniversary for the Last Chance Rock n Roll Bar, they sold out their headline show in under 48 hours with a second to be announced imminently.
