Joan & The Giants

Melbourne-based alt pop-rock band Joan & The Giants (originally from Western Australia) are quickly cementing themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting rising acts. After supporting Pink and Tones and I at Optus Stadium, they’ve recently toured nationally with The Fray and made their international debut at SXSW in Austin Texas, securing UK representation with ITB.

Their breakout single ‘Born in the Wrong Time’ earned triple j Unearthed Feature Artist, topped the AMRAP charts, won major national awards and scored an APRA nomination — with Rolling Stone AU calling them “a force to be reckoned with.”

Formed in 2019 by queer frontwoman Grace Newton-Wordsworth with Riley Sutton, Chris Mackenzie and Liam Olsen, Joan & The Giants deliver soaring hooks and explosive live energy — and they’re only just getting started.
