Max Thomas

Max is the APAC Label Manager at American indie label Secretly Group, looking after operations and marketing for ANZ and Asia. He started his career at Apple Music in London on the Editorial & Label Relations team; before moving to independent hip-hop label GRADUATION* as a Product Manager. Three years ago he made the move down under as Secretly’s first employee in Australia, working across the labels Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian. In his current role he has worked on projects by artists including Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Mitski, Khruangbin, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Japanese Breakfast, Faye Webster and more; overseeing all marketing, strategy and on-ground activity for Secretly’s releases in APAC.

Max is also an artist manager at Reason Why; managing Auckland-based dream-pop purveyors Phoebe Rings (Carpark Records), as well as Australian artists Holliday Howe, Stocker and Kavi.
