REDD. isn’t just making music – they’re sharing their identity with the world. What you hear and see with the 19-year-old talent is who they are. Their effortless blend of punk-meets-hip hop-meets-pop is equal parts hooky, energetic and angsty – a sonic celebration of accepting one’s own unfiltered truth.

With their single ‘Fugh Shi’, REDD. doesn’t just announce their arrival—they blow the door off its hinges. The track pulses with unabashed energy, its chorus erupting like a primal scream against societal preconceptions and the weight of expectation. It’s a rallying cry for embracing the beautiful chaos of the present, consequences be damned.

“I wrote ‘FUGH SHI.’ (pronounced fuck shit) trying to catch energy in its purest form,” reflects REDD. “I wasn’t worried about it making sense, just that feeling of not giving a fuck. The song was written about house parties I went to and the absolute chaos that ensued. People getting fucked up, hooking up and having fun.”

What sets REDD. apart is their uncanny ability to bottle the raw, unpolished spirit of youth while carrying the kind of self-assured confidence that most spend decades trying to find. Originally channelling their creative fire into acting— they’re a Palme d’Or winning actor—it took a global pandemic and Melbourne’s infamous lockdowns in 2020 to ignite their musical journey. At just 15 and entering Year 9, REDD. dove headfirst into songwriting and production. The result? A raw, no-holds-barred creative outlet that became the foundation of their sonic world.

Three years and hundreds of lockdown days later, REDD. uploaded demos to triple j Unearthed, and it wasn’t long before their distinct style, lyricism and musicianship turned heads, earning them a deal with Island/Republic Universal and a growing reputation within the industry as one of Australia’s most exciting new artists.
