Jaime San Juan—musically known as dot.jaime—is a Manila-based electronic music producer, DJ, and director.

“I’m a Manila-based artist with an emphasis on art direction, music production, film, graphic design, and photography. While I was born and raised for a few years in Metro Manila, I spent most of my childhood and youth in Iloilo, a small province in Western Visayas, Philippines, where I primarily nurtured my love for music and visual arts.

Growing up in a smaller city and a simple home is what fostered my love and appreciation for anything done “DIY”, even just beyond art itself. That evolved my practice to constantly adapt what’s accessible and value whichever tools are available around me. From rendering weird and ambitious visuals on whatever my hand-me-down laptop could handle, to downloading virus-patched plugins for my music software, and with little to no production budgets, I had to make the best out of the simplest things around me for all my mediums of expression. Sound is a big part of what I currently practice as an artist. Apart from making music myself, I’ve constantly directed musically inclined projects like cover art, music videos, documentaries, shorts, and musical exhibitions that are often inspired by a play of urban or quirky provincial influences and values. To me, the existence of audio in anything visual is as close as it can be to our sense of touch. I try to be, at best, malleable to whichever genre, space, or scene where audio is involved, where my music, or someone else’s, could be expressed in different forms of media.

CHEKE
CHEKE is a music brand, a label, and a dream — for those who move different.

Home to artists Cash, Fern., 2ICEY, THUGSTA, and Kyleaux, we’re here to amplify voices that break boundaries and redefine the sound of Filipino hip-hop & r&b.

Founded in late 2024 by Meme Gomez, Costa Cashman, Justine Wieneke, Fern., and dot.jaime, CHEKE thrives on homage, discovery, and interdependence.

CHEKE’s focus isn’t about dominating – it’s about co-existing. It’s about the ability to orbit sonically.

From the streets to the studios, CHEKE is about building something real — a space where raw stories turn into records, where struggle fuels creativity, and where ambition meets kinship.
