Mich Maskariño
Mich Maskariño is a Philippine-based music industry professional working across music rights, licensing, artist management, and industry development. She currently works with the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), where she works with businesses, music users, creators, and industry stakeholders on music licensing and the administration of music rights.
Alongside her work in music rights, Mich is involved in artist management, working with Filipino artists and helping develop opportunities for live performances, partnerships, and audience growth. Her experience gives her a perspective across different sides of the music ecosystem—from creators and performers to rights organizations, businesses, and industry partners.
Mich is particularly interested in international music industry collaboration, artist development, live music, and learning how different markets create sustainable opportunities for artists and music businesses. She is looking forward to connecting with Australian music industry professionals, discovering potential areas for collaboration, and bringing insights from the Philippine music scene into the broader Asia-Pacific music community.
FILSCAP
The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP) is the Philippines’ accredited collective management organization for musical works, representing Filipino composers, authors, and music publishers. FILSCAP administers and licenses public performance, reproduction, and other music rights, working with businesses, organizations, and music users across the country.
Through its local membership and international reciprocal agreements, FILSCAP represents a broad repertoire of Filipino and international musical works and works to ensure that creators and rights holders are properly recognized and compensated for the use of their music.
