Mohamed Komba
Mohamed Komba (aka IAMMXO) has been at the forefront of shaping the sound of contemporary R&B in Australia, having been a pivotal musical force behind Australian and New Zealand breakout artists including Kaiit, Boy Soda, PANIA, Stan Walker, Oliver Cronin and Miiesha, with his production and engineer work on the latter seeing him nominated for numerous ARIA Awards.
Fascinated by the science of music and its ability to help people understand each other, Mo has a passion for artist development and mentorship, and has spent the majority of his career working for various organisations mentoring youth via the power of music.
First appearing as a member of much-loved Melbourne hip-hop group Diafrix at the turn of the millennium, through to his most recent role of Senior Director of A&R and Export at Warner Music Australasia, Mo’s focus and passion remains on artist development, preparing artists for export, and bridging the gap between Australia and the rest of the world. Mo remains the owner of independent label Say Less, and recently took on the role of COO of New Levels, helping the label and management company expand into distribution.
