Narayan Wallace-Prabhu is the founder of LUSTRE, an Australian independent record label, publisher, and artist management company. LUSTRE has generated over 1 billion streams for its artists, including Grammy-nominated talent across New York, Amsterdam, London, Melbourne, and Byron Bay.

LUSTRE’s artists have contributed to US Billboard No. 1 albums and collaborated with names such as Drake, 6lack, Parcels and Hiatus Kaiyote. The company’s publishing arm is administered by Downtown, with creative support from New York and Paris, while its label division operates globally through Believe in London.

LUSTRE was founded in 2015 in Brunswick Heads to amplify important musical voices on a global scale. Emerging as Soundcloud and Spotify democratised music distribution, it focused on “small but mighty” bedroom producers who suddenly had worldwide reach at low cost. Inspired by Northern NSW’s DIY ethos and natural beauty, LUSTRE worked with left-leaning communities and artists creating unassuming but globally resonant work. The name refers to a mineralogy term describing how light reflects.. fitting for projects that found audiences in unexpected spaces.
