Nicholas Marks
Nick Marks is a New York–based composer whose work blends orchestral writing with modern electronic texture to create psychologically driven film and television scores. His music moves between atmosphere, tension, and melody, often exploring the subtle emotional layers beneath a story rather than simply announcing them.
Marks scored the feature film Westhampton, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and his music has been featured on BBC and NPR and performed at Carnegie Hall. His compositions have also accompanied major cultural events including the G’Day USA Arts Gala honoring Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, and Hugh Jackman.
Classically trained and deeply influenced by cinematic storytelling, Marks approaches scoring as a collaborative process — working closely with directors to shape a sonic world that supports the emotional architecture of their films.
