Peter Sabbagh
Peter Sabbagh is a Western Sydney-based creative director, artist manager, event producer and music industry leader with more than a decade of experience creating opportunities for emerging artists and connecting music, culture and community.
Beginning his career as a DJ and music producer, Peter developed a firsthand understanding of the barriers emerging artists face when accessing performance opportunities, industry networks and sustainable career pathways. This experience shaped his commitment to creating platforms that support diverse and underrepresented voices within the music industry.
As the Founder and Creative Director of Bodega Collective, Peter has led national and international tours, large-scale events, artist development programs, creative campaigns and partnerships across music, fashion, sport and youth culture. His touring work includes bringing international artists such as EsDeeKid and UK grime pioneer Jammer (BBK) to Australia and New Zealand, delivering sold-out shows while creating opportunities for local artists to perform alongside globally recognised talent.
Peter is also the founder of Pass The Mic, a national artist discovery platform designed to give emerging musicians opportunities based on talent rather than industry connections, experience or social following. Since launching in 2021, the platform has showcased more than 500 artists across Australia and internationally. In 2025, Peter led an eight-city national tour that reached more than 8,000 attendees, generated over three million online views and culminated in a major Western Sydney final, where one emerging artist received a $25,000 cash prize.
Alongside his work in events and touring, Peter manages Western Sydney artist LEE, supporting his development since the age of 13. He has helped guide his career across artist development, releases, live performance and major industry opportunities, including his recognition as a triple j Unearthed High winner.
Bodega Collective
Bodega Collective is a Sydney-based creative company, music platform and cultural agency dedicated to creating opportunities, experiences and pathways for emerging artists and young creatives.
Bodega began as a grassroots events and creative platform and has grown into a multidisciplinary company operating across live events, artist development, music, content production, brand partnerships, touring and creative spaces. For more than a decade, Bodega has worked at the intersection of music, youth culture and community, building platforms that connect emerging talent with audiences, industry leaders and global brands.
At the centre of Bodega’s work is Pass The Mic, a nationally recognised live music and artist development platform launched in 2021. Built around an accessible format where emerging artists are given the stage to perform, connect and be discovered, Pass The Mic has platformed more than 500 artists across over 30+ events throughout Australia and internationally.
The platform has expanded from grassroots events in Western Sydney into a national touring program reaching cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Hobart and Alice Springs, alongside international activations in Indonesia and New Zealand. Through live performances, workshops, auditions, mentorship, industry opportunities and major prize funding, Pass The Mic creates meaningful pathways for artists who may not otherwise have access to traditional industry networks.
Pass The Mic has attracted thousands of attendees and generated millions of online views, collaborating with major festivals, councils, cultural organisations and industry partners including ARIA, Red Bull, triple j, TikTok, NBA, Hennessy, JD Sports, Audio-Technica, BIGSOUND, Dark Mofo, WAMCON, MusicNSW, Sound NSW and Creative Australia.
