CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FUND SHORT NOTICE ACTIVITY PROGRAM (cmf snap)

The Contemporary Music Fund Short Notice Activity Program (CMF SNAP) is a grant program that supports short notice opportunities for individuals, bands and music industry professionals.
The program’s key focus is to capitalise on available opportunities by supporting applicants to respond to short notice, career building opportunities where the time frame is out of the applicant’s control and the activity cannot be funded under the Arts Projects for Individuals/Organisations grant programs.
ELIGIBILITY
Individuals, and groups are welcome to apply, however:
- individuals must have Australian citizenship or permanent resident status, groups including unincorporated bodies, partnerships and individuals informally collaborating on an activity must be based in Australia
- if you are considering submitting an administered/auspiced grant you must contact the department before commencing your application
- if you are applying on behalf of Aboriginal people, you must provide evidence of significant Aboriginal involvement in the conception, development of and participation in the activity
- although WA residency is not a requirement to apply for a grant, if you are applying from outside WA you will need to show the benefits to WA artists, creatives, arts or cultural workers in your application.
Applicants can apply for up to $5000 for professional development opportunities, up to $10,000 for national and regional touring/showcasing opportunities and up to $15,000 for international touring/showcasing opportunities.
This program may fund up to 100% of your activity costs and applicants can apply once per financial year.

ARTS PROJECTS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS
This program will open 3 December 2024
Offering between $5000 and $80,000 funding for artists and creative industry professionals to deliver a one-off project or a program of activity.
The program supports the development and growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian communities in high quality arts and cultural experiences.
ELIGIBILITY
Individuals and groups (unincorporated bodies/partnerships) that deliver arts projects are welcome to apply to this program, however:
- individuals must have Australian citizenship or permanent resident status
- groups including unincorporated bodies, partnerships and individuals informally collaborating on an activity must be based in Australia
- organisations applying for funding must apply through the Arts Projects for Organisations program
- applications to this program cannot be auspiced/administered by an organisation
- individuals being auspiced by an organisation must apply through the Arts Projects for Organisations program
- if you are applying on behalf of Aboriginal people you must provide evidence of significant Aboriginal involvement in the conception, development of and participation in the activity. Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the department to discuss how this can be demonstrated prior to applying
- although WA residency is not a requirement to apply for a grant, if you are applying from outside WA you will need to show the benefits to WA artists, creatives, arts or cultural workers in your application.

REGIONAL ARTS WA
rAF QUICK RESPONSE GRANTS
Quick Response Grants assist regional artists, arts organisations and communities to take up professional or skills development opportunities, or respond to small project opportunities that arise at short notice.
Applicants must live in postcodes classified as regional using the Modified Monash Model Map. The applicant’s physical address must have a MMM Classification 2 or above. To check your address visit the Doctor Connect Locator Map.
Amount
Up to $3,000 for individuals
Up to $5,000 for organisations
Dates
Monthly rounds February – November. Each round opens the first day of the month and closes the final day of the month.

rAF PROJECT GRANTS
Project Grants provide major funding for high-quality arts projects benefitting regional or remote artists, arts workers, audiences and communities. The focus of the project could include any area of creative practice, multiple art forms or cross-disciplinary practice.
The objectives of the Regional Arts Fund are to support and promote participation in, and access to, arts and culture in regional and remote Australia by:
- Encouraging and supporting sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities;
- Developing partnerships and networks which leverage financial and/or in-kind support for specific projects and encourage ongoing collaboration;
- Developing audiences and broadening community engagement with the arts;
- Increasing employment and professional development opportunities for, and raise the profile of, regional and remote artists; and
- Supporting quality and viability of artistic and cultural activity.
