Melbourne International Jazz Festival

Sounds Australia will host festival bookers from Indonesia in Melbourne this month.

Sounds Australia is partnering with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival to build more pathways between Australia and Southeast Asia.

With the support of the ASEAN-Australia Centre, Sounds Australia will be welcoming two renowned festival bookers from Indonesia: Anom Darsana (Ubud Village Jazz Festival) and Bagas Indyatmono (Jazz Gunung).

Anom and Bagas will be joining Melbourne International Jazz Festival invitees Atsuko Yashima (Tokyo Jazz), Jeremy Page (Vancouver Jazz Festival) and Chico Hindarto (President of Forum Jazz Indonesia).

They’ll have the opportunity to connect with the Australian jazz industry, visit Melbourne cultural and educational institutions, tour local venues and experience amazing music at Australia’s largest jazz festival.

Melbourne International Jazz Festival is running from 17 – 26 October. To check out their full program, visit melbournejazz.com.
