After a huge first year, Australia House returned to Amsterdam Dance Event last week, once again taking over Box Sociaal Jordaan for two days of connection, collaboration and celebration, welcoming hundreds of influential music industry professionals from Australia, Southeast Asia and around the world.
We kicked off Day 1 with a collaboration with ExchangeASIA. Our Southeast Asia x Australia Networking Breakfast connected agents, managers, promoters, venue owners and press across the region. Thank you to the Australian Embassy in The Netherlands and the ASEAN-Australia Centre for supporting this event.
We celebrated our first night at ADE with Gunai/Kurnai & Yorta Yorta artist DJ PGZ, Australian/Filipino musician Juno Mamba and Thailand’s Takky as they recorded live sets for fbi.radio’s MSG4000, Bangkok Community Radio and 3RRR’s Good Static.
Day 2 consisted of more meetings and many free Box Sociaal coffees before we rounded out the day with Marco Weibel from Darker Than Wax recording a show in Australia House for The Lot Radio, celebrating Australian & Southeast Asian sounds.
Huge thank yous to our presenting partner Ticket Fairy, Lekker Bikes who helped guide people towards Australia House, and the amazing team at Box Sociaal Jordaan.
Throughout the conference, Australian music was amplified with events hosted by NLV Records, Sweat It Out, Paxx, Telepathic Instruments, Untitled and Future Classic. With over 40 Australian artists performing across ADE and an overwhelming influx of key players from Australia’s dance and electronic music scene, the city came alive with the sounds of our homegrown talent.
