Last week, with the support of the ASEAN-Australia Centre, we took a delegation of Australian booking agents to Bangkok Music City in Thailand, with the aim of connecting them to key industry from across the region. This was our second trade mission specifically focused on booking agents and Southeast Asia, having run a similar program at the AXEAN Festival in Indonesia last year.
Outside of the multiple networking events that took place across three hot and sunny days, we hosted a targeted breakfast with all the Australian industry in Thailand for Bangkok Music City, providing them an opportunity to meet some of the top festival bookers and promoters in Asia.
There were also two nights of showcases featuring incredible talent from all across Asia Pacific, which included a stellar performance from Jamaica Moana.
