For a couple of days each May, the beachside town of Brighton in the UK becomes the place to discover the next generation of exciting musical talent. Australian acts such as Amyl & The Sniffers, Confidence Man, Courtney Barnett, Cub Sport, DMA’s, Gang Of Youths, Julia Jacklin, Sycco and Tkay Maidza, just to name a few, have all performed at the annual Great Escape Festival.
Sounds Australia has had a presence in Brighton for 15 years and next month we’ll be back at The Great Escape Festival, once again hosting showcases at Komedia on Thursday May 15 and TGE Beach on Saturday May 17. As an exciting addition to this year’s showcase at TGE Beach, we’ll be welcoming BIGSOUND to Saturday’s showcase, and they will be hosting the outdoor stage.
