Velvet Trip is the project of Wiradjuri artist Zeppelin Hamilton, born and imagined on Gadigal Country, Sydney.

Blending psych-rock, indie-pop and soulful groove, Velvet Trip is driven by Hamilton’s dreamlike production and vivid storytelling, pairing expansive sonics with deeply personal narratives. SBS described the project as “breaking new ground in Blak music”, recognising Zeppelin’s role in reshaping contemporary Australian sound through a distinctly First Nations lens.

2025 marked a breakthrough year. The ‘Glimmers’ era launched with standout performances at triple j’s One Night Stand, support slots for Djo and Parcels, and a sold-out headline show at the Sydney Opera House (Utzon Room). The year culminated in the release of the Glimmers EP, with breakout single ‘The Bends’ becoming the highest-charting independent Australian release on the Shazam charts at the time, alongside inclusion in Spotify’s Turn Up AUS billboard campaign and Velvet Trip taking out the #1 most played artist on triple j Unearthed for 2025.

In 2026, Velvet Trip cemented his position as one of Australia’s most compelling contemporary acts with the release of sophomore album Glimmers Continued, debuting at #5 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and named triple j’s Feature Album.

Featured in NME, The New York Times (T Magazine) and RUSSH, Velvet Trip continues to push into new sonic territory while remaining grounded in culture, community and fearless self-expression. Zeppelin was recently awarded the 2026 APRA AMCOS Professional Development Award and named an official ambassador for the Australian Music Venue Foundation. With growing international momentum and an uncompromising creative vision, he is entering his most ambitious chapter yet.
