Sounds Australia and the Seaport present THE AUSSIE BBQ New York City, a celebration of Australian music, coming to Fulton & Front St in New York City’s historic Seaport neighbourhood on Saturday 13 June 2026.
For over 15 years Sounds Australia has presented THE AUSSIE BBQ around the world, from London to Los Angeles and many cities in between, spotlighting trailblazing artists and cementing its global reputation as the essential destination to discover the next generation of Australian music.
A cornerstone event in the USA, THE AUSSIE BBQ brings emerging and acclaimed Australian artists directly to New York audiences, delivering a distinctive cultural experience and an unmissable show of some of the country’s boldest, new and influential sounds.

Since 2009, Sounds Australia has been showcasing exciting new Australian talent to New York audiences, with THE AUSSIE BBQ evolving across the city from CMJ Music Marathon to SummerStage and now its newest home at the Seaport. Artists such as RÜFÜS DU SOL, Amyl and the Sniffers, Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Ecca Vandal, The Temper Trap, DMA’S, Emma Louise, Flume, G Flip, Gordi, The Teskey Brothers and Tkay Maidza have previously performed at THE AUSSIE BBQ.
Building on this legacy, the 2026 lineup brings together a bold mix of emerging voices and new sounds that reflect the depth and diversity of Australian music today.
