Multi award winning songwriter and producer, sound engineer, video producer and artist manager, Anthony has worked with Ngulmiya and the community of Numbulwar in SE Arnhem Land for 23 years. Anthony produces work in remote areas of Australia and Indonesia from small tents and shipping containers in the heat of tropics, to world class venues and studios internationally.

Originally a double bassist and student of the Victorian College of the Arts, Anthony worked in Jazz, World, Singer/Songwriter and Classical styles before leaving Melbourne to work in remote Arnhem Land and East Indonesia in 2000. While Anthony has the artistic skills to develop artists from remote areas, with vastly different cultural backgrounds and life experiences, to bring them to the world stage, Anthony prides himself on the bigger challenge, to project manage and business manage over the long term.

Dave is Label Manager at Wantok Musik Foundation, a not for profit organisation that records, releases and promotes culturally infused music from First Nation Australia, Melanesia and Oceania.

Wantok is also involved in delivering a variety of recording, film and workshop projects in Bougainville and Timor Leste.
Dave has worked with First Nations bands in a variety of capacities over the years, recording, producing and tour management.

He is a musician, producer and studio engineer and a qualified journalist.

Throughout his long and successful career, Greg has been at the forefront of significant changes in education, and professional and recreational innovation for popular music. He was the visionary and first President of the Queensland Music Industry Association, QMusic in 1993 – 1995 and Director of Music Worx in Fortitude Valley.

In 2000, Greg shifted his focus to developing new-style recreational music-making events and activities, (Weekend Warriors, Boardroom Blitz, Come Together etc).
Greg is a Director for Oxygen 42 Consulting Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He is currently managing two creative artists, Taitu’uga – Samoan Talking High Chief, Music Creator (EDM), Actor (Theatre and Film) and Community Workshopper and Jungaji – First Nations (Gu Gu Yalanji) Songman, Visual Artist and Activist.

Greg also co-hosts an intercultural Podcast and YouTube channel, Walk in 3 Worlds.

Kristie McCarthy is an Australian artist manager at Lemon Tree Music where she works with The Cat Empire, Death by Denim, Riley Pearce, and producer Andy Lawson. Lemon Tree Music’s roster also includes the likes of Tash Sultana, Tones and I, Budjerah and Kita Alexander.

Kristie has seven years’ experience in corporate agency marketing and got her start in the music industry at Billions Australia where she worked in logistics and administration on tours for Nick Cave, Bon Iver, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Sleater Kinny, Sufjan Stevens and more.

She began her artist management journey in 2018, joining Lemon Tree Music as a Day Manager working with Tash Sultana, Riley Pearce, Garrett Kato, Maddy Jane and Willow Beats. Fast forward 5 years and Kristie is now a Senior Artist Manager working closely with labels, booking agents, publicists, and partners around the globe to further the careers of her artists.

In 2020 Kristie was recognised as a winner of The Music Network’s 30 Under 30 Awards in the Artist Management category. In 2022, Kristie was selected for one of just two national spots as part of the Australian Artist Managers Association’s Export Market Development Trip.

Sydney World Music Chamber Orchestra

From ceremonial Aboriginal Australia, Mongolian throat singing to electronic dance beats, this 11-piece orchestra shares the stories, contemporary fusions and sacred music practices of its culturally diverse virtuoso artists.

Ngulmiya Nundhirribala is an iconic ceremony leader and songman from Arnhem Land with a godlike voice and presence. Ngulmiya shares improvisations on previously private ceremony songs and Dhumbala (Red Flag) songs and stories that developed over centuries, through his family’s long relationship and history with the Makassan traders and sailors from SE Asia. His debut self titled album features collaborative work with producer/song writer Anthony Gray, his son and songman Nayurryurr Nundhirribala, the Budapest Art Orchestra and string arrangers Luke Howard and Felix Watson.

Ngulmiya is a ceremony and cultural leader, songman, dancer and educator, who leads the traditional dance group Red Flag Dancers, directs the Numburindi Festival, leads the band Yilila and has previously featured with the Australian Ballet, the G20 Orchestra, Budapest Art Orchestra and Bangarra Dance Theatre.

Ngulmiya performed at the 2022 WOMEX in Lisbon. 

Paulo Almeida, is a Timorese musician, activist, original member of The Dili Allstars and front man for Sol Nation. For the first time in his 20-year career, Paulo has embarked on a solo career, with two cracking singles already enjoying national and international airplay.
After touring solidly for 15 years through Australia, Asia and Europe, playing major festivals and collaborating with some of music’s best, Paulo has taken his songwriting to a more personal level, penning lyrics that talk of hope, love and a vision for a more united world.
A regular at Womex (World Music Expo) as cultural ambassador for Timor-Leste, Paulo is taking Timorese music and culture to the global market through his own brand of island-style reggae, as well as being the Creative Director of the Maubere Timor Project; a collaboration led by David Bridie (Wantok Musik) and Berliku, an original Veteran and guerrilla freedom fighter. Together they have recorded an album of songs of resistance that tell stories of Timor’s struggle for freedom under a brutal Indonesian occupation after 400 years of Portuguese rule in in Timor. The project premiered at Womad in 2020 and is set to tour the world in 2023/24.

Small Island Big Song is a multi-platform project uniting artists across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, a contemporary and relevant musical statement from a region at the frontline of the Climate Crisis.

Outcomes include two award-winning albums, a feature film, and concert which features profile indigenous artists from Madagascar, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Mauritius, Rapa Nui, Tahiti & The Solomon Islands, playing with footage drawn from the 3-year field trip. “One coherent jaw dropping piece” as described by Rob Schwartz – Billboard

Along with the headlining concert ‘Small Island Big Song’ also offers panel discussions on environmental & cultural issues of their Island homes along with workshops, solo performances and a film screening.
