Andrew Farriss AM is considered one of the world’s most revered songwriters, having written, produced, and performed music across the globe for more than four decades.

As the co-founder, key songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist for the Grammy-nominated and multi award-winning band INXS, Andrew is responsible for songs that have ingrained themselves into the psyche of generations of music fans.

Most recently, he has embarked on his own country solo career, showcasing his versatility as a songwriter, exploring stories of the heartland of Australia and America. His self-titled solo album spawned several high rotation radio hits, including Come Midnight, Good Momma Bad and Run Baby Run. During the COVID-lockdowns he has been producing albums for other artists, including an album for North-East Arnhem land songwriter Yirrmal, due out in 2022.
Over the past 10 years, Andrew has spent time writing in Australia and in Nashville, both for his own solo projects and for other performers. Living and working on the land near Tamworth for the past three decades, and as a songwriter, Andrew has a natural affinity with country music, something that is evident with his solo music.

Releasing his debut single Come Midnight in 2019 ahead of a performance spot at the Gympie Muster, the song topped the country charts on radio stations around Australia. The follow-up single, Good Momma Bad, released at the 2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival, coincided with Andrew being awarded the ultimate Australian honour, a Member of the Order of Australia.

While his debut long-player was ready for release in 2020, the global COVID-pandemic postposed and seriously affected those plans, so never an artist to stop working, Andrew released a debut five-track EP Love Makes The World instead. The EP, a collection of folk, ballad, contemporary and experimental tracks, delved into humans and their relationships with each other and the earth. He released two singles Love Makes The World and All The Stars Are Mine, and shared a virtual performance of the EP which streamed on his YouTube channel.

Andrew’s highly anticipated 12-track self-titled debut album was released in March 2021 to acclaim and saw him play a select run of intimate shows, sharing the stories behind the songs with audiences. The third single from the album, Run Baby Run, released to coincide with the album, featured a clip filmed on the Mary Valley Rattler in the Amamoor State Forest and National Park. The subsequent singles, the gun-slinging Son Of A Gun, and With The Kelly Gang continue to be supported by Australian country radio. Andrew also recently shared the official video of the track Apache Pass, filmed on location in Arizona, USA, which was one of the songs that inspired the original storytelling direction of the LP.

Andrew earned a Golden Guitar nomination at the 2022 Country Music Awards of Australia for ‘Heritage Song Of The Year’ for the gunslinging historical track With The Kelly Gang. He also kicked off 2022 with a massive performance at the official Australia Day event in Sydney, and followed it up with a successful headline performance at the 2022 Tamworth Country Music Festival. The self-titled Country/Americana album also produced a Top-40 single on Billboard’s Indicator chart in the USA in 2022 with ‘You Are My Rock’.

Showcasing his country solo music, Andrew has not only performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Country Music Festival, and the 2020 Golden Guitar Awards, but has also been part of the Hay Mate Drought Relief Concert and performed several times by invitation at the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville.

In 2016 he played atop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for the opening of the 2016 Australia Day Celebrations, and over the years has made special guest appearances on stage with the likes of Rob Thomas, Yothu Yindi, Jon Stevens and many more. He was also part of the Music from The Home Front national television event during 2020.

In January 2020, Andrew was honoured with a Member of the Order of Australia in recognition of his works in the arts within Australia. The accolade was deservedly fitting for the songwriter who has never stepped away from creative pursuits, whether with his band INXS, working with other artists around the world, or sharing his knowledge with students. In 2015 Andrew was awarded a Coombs Fellowship with the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, where he lectured and mentored students, and put together the Soundbites Concert with ANU student musicians. He is also an ambassador for Nordoff-Robins Music Therapy, which supports people with additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Andrew has written, produced, and performed music across the globe, with artists such as Yothu Yindi, Tom Jones, Alison Porter, Tania Kernaghan and Jenny Morris. He received a Producer Of The Year ARIA Award for work on Jenny Morris’s triple platinum album Shiver and was inducted into the Australia Songwriter Hall of Fame in 2016. With INXS, he worked in more than 50 countries, and the band is credited for influencing the careers of MANY bands such as Matchbox 20, The Killers, Train, Walk the Moon and The 1975 and many other artists.

INXS have sold well over 50-million records, had 10 Australian Top 10 singles, seven U.S. Top 10 singles, and received three Grammy nominations, a BRIT award (for Best International Group), five MTV Music Awards, seven ARIA Awards and were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

In 2021, Andrew was awarded a SESAC (USA) Writer’s Award for his songwriting contribution to Dua Lipa’s massive hit Break My Heart, and was nominated for a 2021 APRA Music Awards for the Most Performed Australia Work and Most Performed Pop Work for his contribution on Dua Lipa’s track. Andrew and Michael Hutchence were also recently honoured by APRA AMCOS on The 1,000,000,000 List in recognition of their songwriting contribution on the song. Andrew’s Need You Tonight guitar riff and chords he wrote are being discovered by yet another generation of fans.

Personally, Andrew and his wife Marlina live and work on abroad acre farm in the Tamworth area, that he has owned for close to three decades. Andrew has three grown children, Grace, Josephine, and Matthew.

2022 saw Brekky Boy sell out shows across the country as well as touring internationally featuring at Montreux Jazz Festival CH, Jazzahead DE, Tallinn Music Week EE and more. Their upcoming fourth EP is a powerful combination of heavy polyrhythmic drums and grandiose cinematic builds, perfectly balanced with delicate piano melodies.

One of the most exhilarating bands to emerge in recent years, CIVIC have reimagined the reckless intensity of proto-punk for an era of endless uncertainty. On their 2021 debut album Future Forecast, the Melbourne-based five-piece offered up a barrage of songs matching their frenetic sound with both self-aware outpouring and incisive observation of the world around them—a dynamic that’s earned massive critical acclaim as well as admiration from the likes of punk legend Henry Rollins. As further shown on their upcoming sophomore full-length Taken By Force—an album the band aptly sums up as “1984 meets Endless Summer”—CIVIC joyfully obliterate the line between furious catharsis and unbridled fun, introducing a vital new energy into today’s musical landscape.

Hailed by Stereogum as “an unholy lo-fi pile-up of garage rock, punk, and ’90s-style noise-rock,” CIVIC inject every song with a visceral urgency hinting at their shared history in the local hardcore scene. As frontman Jim McCullough recalls, the band first took shape back in 2017, when he and a friend dreamed up a musical project inspired by iconic Australian punk acts like Radio Birdman and The Saints. “We were in a bowling alley in Japan and came up with a very strong focus for what the band could do, which was take that three-chord ’70s punk sound but get a little more thoughtful with the melodies and songwriting,” says McCullough. Upon returning from Japan, McCullough soon recruited a full lineup featuring Lewis Hodgson and bassist Roland Hlavka. Within six months, CIVIC had banged out their debut EP New Vietnam—a powerhouse 2018 release that prompted Vice to crown the band “Melbourne’s New Kings of Wild Rock And Roll.”

Over the next few years, CIVIC made their name as a captivating live act defined by masterfully controlled chaos, embarking on a European tour in 2019 and taking such esteemed stages as Victoria’s Golden Plains Festival. “With our live shows we’ve always made a point of being super-loud and in-your-face,” says McCullough. “As an audience member I’ve always enjoyed that feeling of really believing in the band but also feeling like everything’s teetering on the edge of falling apart at any second.” With the arrival of the rapturously received Future Forecast—praised by NME as “an album that rivals real-life gig-going”—CIVIC found their fanbase expanding far beyond their homeland, inking their deal with ATO Records in late 2021. After a lineup change, with guitarist Jackson Harry and drummer Matt Blach joining the fold, CIVIC next set to work on Taken By Force.

For the making of Taken By Force, CIVIC holed up for a week at Harry’s father’s house deep in the Castlemaine countryside, enlisting Radio Birdman frontman Rob Younger as producer. “Instead of recording sporadically over six months or something, we wanted to build our own ecosystem in this space and allow for a bit more spontaneity,” says McCullough. Mainly recorded by Blach, Taken By Force lifts its title from a jangly yet bombastic track perfectly encapsulating the album’s underlying narrative. “It’s a song about the collapse of the Western empire and the rise of a new one,” Hodgson reveals. “An empire’s collapse can take hundreds of years, but this was a vision of a quick complete takeover—a sci-fi ending to an archaic reign, but with surf elements added in for fun. At the time when we wrote the album it felt like the Western world was headed for a quick death, and ‘Taken By Force’ was an expression of all of the fear coming from every media outlet.”

Mixed and mastered by Mikey Young (Total Control, Eddy Current, Sonny & the Sunsets), Taken By Force opens on an ominous intro whose origins echo the charmed nature of the recording process. “We knew we wanted to start the record with war sirens, but we didn’t want to just grab them off YouTube,” McCullough says. “One night we all woke up to these emergency sirens going off, so I ran out into the paddock and recorded it on my phone. We had Lewis and Blach set up two snares across from one another and pound out a marching drumbeat at about two in the morning—the whole thing was so intense and creepy and incredible.”

All throughout Taken By Force, CIVIC set their artful venting of existential dread against a backdrop of blistering riffs, thrashing rhythms, and shout-along-ready vocals. On the album’s lead single “End of the Line,” for instance, Hodgson delivers a glorious 12-string guitar solo that adds a galvanizing potency to McCullough’s lyrics, a ripped-from-real-life meditation on the precariousness of mortality. “I wrote that song about a solo trip I took around Europe in my early 20s, and the anxiety of realizing I had no one to protect me but myself,” says McCullough, an accomplished painter who tends toward an impressionistic approach to songwriting. “It’s about the realization of your own mortality, and finding peace in a chaotic moment that you have no control over.”

Although much of Taken By Force abounds with images of dystopian warfare—bloodied bodies, funeral pyres, skies lit up in the blazing flames of burning trash—its songs often explore the more intimate aspects of the human experience. With its spectral textures and hypnotic guitar tones, “Trick of the Light” finds McCullough slipping into a laconic drawl as he narrates a quietly chilling portrait of cycles of abuse. “It’s about a friend trapped in an abusive marriage, a story of running away only to find that the life you left will always be there waiting for you,” says Hodgson, who wrote a number of songs on Taken By Force. A frenzied blast of raw tension, “Born in the Heat” captures the psychic unrest of feeling hopelessly detached from your own surroundings and circumstances. “‘Born in the Heat’ is about being forced to leave somewhere you felt was home, and conforming to an idea that you don’t believe in,” McCullough says. One of the most effusive moments on Taken By Force, “Time Girl” arrives as a bouncy piece of surf-punk propelled by Hodgson and Harry’s driving guitar melodies. “Lyric-wise, it’s purely an angst-driven heartbreak song from the perspective of an early-’20s scumbag—but it’s still a lot of fun to play,” says Hodgson. And on “Blood Rushes,” Taken By Force winds down with a lush and sprawling track whose pummeling drums and crystalline guitars magnify the moody longing of McCullough’s vocal work. “Lewis and I each wrote half the lyrics, and I mostly ended up writing about anxiety,” notes McCullough. “My verses are about new love and trying to protect that in a violent world, like trying to keep a candle alight in a cyclone,” Hodgson adds. “It’s about wanting to have your own world away from everything, wanting that feeling to last a little bit longer before it all comes crashing down.”

In sharing such an immersive and emotionally arresting body of work, CIVIC ultimately hope to leave listeners with the same revelatory sensation they found in discovering the music that’s shaped them. “Lewis and I were talking about listening to the Stooges for the first time as kids and feeling completely overtaken by it,” says McCullough. “It would be amazing to have that same kind of impact, to make people feel something like ‘This music speaks to me.’ Even if it’s as simple as making them realize they just really love rock-and-roll, I think there’s something meaningful in that.”

Few artists embody generational dysmorphia in the same way Cody Jon does. Growing up through the 2010s, raised on music of the 80s, inspired by the hits of the 90s and the visual aesthetic of the 2000s, Cody Jon is a temporal mish-mash. His songs are unapologetically hook-heavy showing a healthy respect for the boy bands of the 90s but self-produced with the zaniness of a kid who’s spent too long in his own bedroom in the microclimate of deep suburbia.

Those front and center pop hooks draw inspiration from an early diet of Fleetwood Mac and INXS and a later infatuation with 90s R&B icons Brandy and Aaliyah. Million dollar choruses recorded through a birthday present midi keyboard and produced on airdropped software, these are big songs made ‘bedroom’.

Adelaide based female fronted duo Dean Forever has a modern sound mixed with an era you just can’t place. With inspiration stemming from their love of various contemporary styles, their understated sound of jazz-lined dream pop includes cutting/heartfelt lyrics, happy/sad and sophisticated harmony, soaring synth, and edgy beats. Blending the sound of the 60s and 90s, they are inspired by such acts as Broadcast, Elliot Smith, Bored Nothing, Cat Power, Mitski, the Gilbertos, Crowded House/Split Enz, and the Cranberries to name a few.

Long-time friends and collaborators Jakub Tengdahl (drums, piano) and Kiah Lanagan (vocals) originally started writing the material as an outlet for their more accessible ideas which wouldn’t fit into their past alt-rock project It’s a Hoax. The duo has shared stages with esteemed Australian acts Courtney Barnett, Last Dinosaurs, Ball Park Music, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Velociraptor, Ruby Fields, Sasquatch Philadelphia Grand Social and more. They look forward to bringing their full band to deliver a lushly synth-laden live show to SXSW 2023, as well as sharing their second full-length album later this year.

Dippers (Naarm / Melbourne AUS) has been performing under the moniker Thigh Master since 2012. The name change to Dippers indicates a new era for the group, with new EP ‘Looking for a Sphere’, and their upcoming third LP ‘Clastic Rock’ due to be released mid ’23 through Goner Records.

The new material, produced and recorded by songwriter Matthew Ford and long term collaborator Innez Tulloch, sees Dippers expand the sonic dimensions of their sound. Guitar-pop classics but add in an array of sounds and textures not instantly related to the genre. Ford’s lyricism and vocal delivery also takes a step up, extending on experiences of neurodivergence and sci-fi imagery.

Australian singer-songwriter, Hayley Warner had hopes of becoming a professional athlete as a child, until being diagnosed with a rare disease that left her learning to walk again. She defied the odds when a second hand drum set became her means of physical therapy, which helped her gain movement back in her legs. She not only began learning to walk again, but propelling into the start of her music career. She has since released her debut single, “Closure”, which has organically amassed 15 Million streams, finding it’s way to Spotify’s “Viral Hits”, as well as gaining the attention of a number of fellow artists. Hayley recently released her first single since, “You Were Once”, which also serves as the first single leading into her debut EP “I Think I Saw The the Moon.” The song landed on Spotify’s ‘NMF’ & ‘Fresh Finds’ and was picked up by Ones To Watch.

Brisbane’s brightest queer breakout artist since The Veronicas, Hope D’s camera roll looks something like this: nuggets, nuggets, bagel, girlfriend, Falls Festival crowd shot, ramen, dogs, dogs, beers, a selfie with the couple who got engaged at one of her gigs, Groovin’ the Moo dressing room, nuggets, girlfriend, blurry live photo timestamped 3:06am, [redacted], nuggets.

It’s been over five years since Hope got her start posting YouTube videos which featured her live-looping set-up and teenage bedroom, plastered with beer coasters and gig tickets. Her confessional coming-of-age anthems have resulted in successful gambits in the Queensland Music Awards and triple j’s Hottest 100 Countdown, where her song “Second” was ranked #69 in 2021 (nice).

While her audience has grown exponentially since the days of playing to her parents and the family dog, Mr Schneebly, Hope remains bashful on stage, now joined by her five-piece band. Her debut album, “Clash of the Substance”, is a time capsule of battles won, lost and drawn in the arena of her early twenties. Due out on February 10, and followed by a string of national tour dates, the record contains an important reminder for listeners

Melbourne duo Huntly are regarded as one of Australia’s most engaging and evocative rising electronic acts, a status that the musicians have expanded upon as their artistry has continued to evolve. The album was considered for a nomination for best Americana album at the 65th annual grammy awards, and the artist was highly commended at the Queensland, Australia Music Awards in 2022, for best song in Blues and Roots for her Song ‘Sierra.’ With features including artist of the week and an interview on Triple J, music video of the week by Rolling Stone Australia, Tone Deaf, Industry Observer, American Songwriter, Lady Gunn Magazine, CMT, and Ditty TV to name a few. Her creative work was featured in New Zealand Fashion Week and British Vogue in 2021.

King Stingray is a story of lifelong friendship and two cultures coming together. Growing up together in Yirrkala in North-East Arnhem Land, founding members Yirrŋa Yunupiŋu (frontman) and Roy Kellaway (guitar) have been playing and making music together for as long as they can remember.

Yirrŋa and Roy formed King Stingray with mates Dimathaya Burarrwanga (rhythm guitar, backing vocals and yidaki), Campbell Messer (bass) and Lewis Stiles (drums) in 2019, before officially welcoming Yidaki-master Yimila Gurruwiwi into the fold in 2022. The band blend ancient indigenous melodies with surf, indie and funk influences to create their unique “Yolŋu surf-rock” sound which has captivated the nation.

Propelled by the instant success of their debut track “Hey Wanhaka” in 2020, and subsequent singles “Get Me Out”, “Milkumana”, “Camp Dog” and “Let’s Go”, the band soared to unexpected heights in record time. Nominated for Best Breakthrough Artist at the Music Victoria Awards 2020, Melbourne artist, Nat Vazer, is known for her heart-stopping lyrics that weave between confessional indie rock, dream-pop and the folk tradition of ‘building worlds’ and storytelling through song.

Vazer’s debut album ‘Is This Offensive And Loud?’ was nominated for the 2020 Australian Music Prize and listed in several best-albums-of-the-year lists including NME Australia and The Music. Mixed by Ali Chant (Soccer Mommy, PJ Harvey) and produced by Robert Muinos (Little May, Didirri), the debut album features fan favourites ‘For A Moment’ and ‘Higher Places’ as featured on Rolling Stone Australia.

Party Dozen are a 2-piece noise band from Sydney made up of Kirsty Tickle (saxophone) and Jonathan Boulet (percussion and sampler). Party Dozen also tied up a deal with Temporary Residence that saw the iconic US indie release the new album, while the first two albums will be re-released on March 8th; the first time they have been available physically outside Australia. Rainbow Chan is a vocalist, producer and multi- disciplinary artist who has built a reputation as one of the most innovative musicians in Australia. Driven by a DIY spirit, Chan melds catchy melodies and off- kilter beats made up of field-recordings and found sounds. Both heartbreaking and tender at once, her idiosyncratic brand of pop holds a mirror up to diasporic experiences, and also deeply personal tales of love and loss.

Chan’s highly anticipated EP “Stanley” was released on UK label, Eastern Margins, in November 2021. Her sophomore record “Pillar” (Independent, 2019) was feature album on community radio stations nationwide and was nominated for the Australian Music Prize. Her debut record “Spacings” (Silo Arts & Records, 2016) was nominated for FBi SMAC Record of the Year and AIR Best Dance/Electronica Album, with its single “Nest” being FBi Radio’s most played song that year. Lifted from the EP “Fabrica” (Healthy Tapes, 2017), her single “Let Me” won the FBi SMAC Award for Best Song.

Chan has performed at renowned venues and festivals including Sydney Opera House, Vivid, MONA FOMA, Gallery of Modern Art, Melbourne Music Week, Iceland Airwaves, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and Tai Kwun (Hong Kong). Additionally, her multi-arts installations have been exhibited with Firstdraft Gallery, Liquid Architecture, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and I-Project Space, Beijing. In 2020, Chan was part of Artspace’s One Year Studio Program and was selected as the Performance Space x West Kowloon Exchange resident artist. “Songs from a Walled Village”, her documentary for ABC Radio National, was a finalist in the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Awards 2021. Chan is a finalist in the 2021/22 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship (Artspace, CreateNSW and NAS).

With a flair for nuanced songwriting, Chan is signed to Gaga Music Publishing and has composed music for ABC documentary, “The Glass Bedroom” (2017), a live score for Art Gallery of NSW’s “Starburst”: Chinese Film Season (2018), the theme song for 7am’s “Everybody Knows” podcast, and an original soundtrack for short film “Butter” directed by Anita Lee (2022).

Scored and produced the award winning music for Cult Of the Lamb along with working on voice overs, atmospheres and many of the SFX. Background in pop as one half of Willow Beats. Toured Australia multiple times and played festivals such as Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. Played support for Tash Sultana, Flume, Alison Wonderland and more.

Behind her versatile voice, sharp guitar playing, and adept songwriting, Ruby Boots confidently maneuvers past the whirlwinds of life that helped deliver her 2018 Sophomore ‘Don’t Talk About It’. Nominated for an ARIA for ‘Best Blues and Roots Album’, It’s an album of hope, breakthrough and resiliance. The album smoulders with a fighting spirit, mapping out a polished-yet-fearless, bare-knuckled self. RVG’s highly-anticipated third album is named Brain Worms for the hyper-recognisable experience of, each day, baring witness to a world of private obsessions being aired out in the infinite. For the Melbourne post-punk band and its lyricist/frontwoman Romy Vager, there’s a newfound radical acceptance glistening overtop everything.

After a momentous first five years — finding critical acclaim for debut A Quality of Mercy, landing on countless end-of-year Best Of lists, and playing alongside some of the world’s biggest acts in Pixies, Kurt Vile, Pete Doherty, Sleaford Mods, Shame, and more — RVG released second album Feral as the world was locking down. Feral was called “masterfully executed” by The Big Issue, “the record of a lifetime” by Rolling Stone Australia, and given four-and-a-half stars by the Sydney Morning Herald.

Hot off the back of their EP tour in Japan and Australia, Salarymen are ready to continue their winning streak in 2023 with the release of their debut album and their first trip to the USA.

With a rich and extensive background in Australian music, Sia Ahmad has been creating idiosyncratic sounds over the last decade and more. Using guitar, keyboard, voice and electronics, she works both as singer/composer and improviser, when performing as Shoeb Ahmad, as well as collaborative projects.

Once of acclaimed electronic jazz outfit Tangents and an APRA AMCOS Art Music Award winner, Sia has performed and released a diverse range of original music throughout Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Europe and South Eastern Asia while also working on sound design for dance/theatre, installation pieces and contemporary chamber composition.

Her next record as Shoeb Ahmad is titled “double checks against the corner” and will be released in April 2023 on No Gold, the new label launched by Angus Andrew from Liars. A song cycle that weaves a narrative around relationship breakdown, reconciliation and parenthood, “double checks against the corner” brings together Sia’s experimental sound art practice with the purity of honest pop songwriting and deep beat heavy production.

After taking out the triple j unearthed high crown in 2020, the Adelaide two-piece have not slowed down – in the last 18 months the self proclaimed “Juice-box punk-pop” girls have taken out #87 in the 2020 H100, #84 in the 2021 H100, released their debut EP ‘Taste Of Me’ and won a record breaking 7 Awards at the 2021 SAM Awards including awards for ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Best Live Performance’ and ‘Best Release’.

Going from strength to strength, Teenage Joans spent 2022 on tour with (now lifelong friends) Ball Park Music, Violent Soho The Chats, Bugs, Sly Withers as well as played arenas around Australia supporting Amy Shark before heading on their debut sold out national tour. They were also invited to perform at festivals such as Spin Off, Full Tilt, Summer Sounds, Yours & Owls, NYE On the Hill, Unify, Land Of Plenty & many more to come and were due to support the Foo Fighters nationally on their now-cancelled tour for late 2022.

Tulliah’s debut EP ‘Fre$h Hugs’ captured the attention of the world with the Independent (UK) naming her as ‘One to Watch’ and The Times (UK) as a ‘Breaking Act’. Supported by a string of sold-out shows and touring on national festival circuits, Tulliah has recently completed the recording of her debut 10-track album with producer Dean Tuza (Stella Donnelly, The Rubens) and arrangements by Grammy award-winning producer David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks).

TUSHAR is an Indie(an) artist residing in Adelaide, Australia. After entering the music scene in 2016 and playing in several bands, TUSHAR has emerged into the world as a solo artist. Over the course of 2021, he shifted the focus of his passion for writing towards his love of Bedroom Indie/Pop music. Drawing influence from artists such as Gus Dapperton, Dayglow, and Two Door Cinema Club, TUSHAR has been aiming to bring a strong live set into the festival music circuit.

Woodes released her self-titled debut EP in 2016, gaining audiences both in Australia (where she found herself on many “ones to watch” lists) and internationally. Since then, she’s toured with the likes of Thelma Plum, Asgier, and Sylvan Esso and appeared at multiple festivals, including Splendour in the Grass, SXSW & Beyond the Valley, amongst headline tours of her own. Her cinematic 2018 EP Golden Hour spawned two triple j favorites, “Dots” and “Run For It,” both arriving on the back of the hugely popular collaboration with Set Mo – “I Belong Here” – which has been certified Platinum in Australia.

In her own work throughout this time, Woodes continued to merge music and fashion, incorporating her stylistic influences into her music and the worlds she builds around it. In music videos, she conceptualized how to bring stories to life. On the live stage, she was compared to contemporaries such as Bjork, AURORA, Arctic Lake, and Mr. Little Jeans through her larger-than-life costume design. Having modeled for clients such as Chanel, David Jones & Myer, her styling and presentation have become as renowned as something that goes hand-in-hand with each release.

Woodes’ debut album Crystal Ball came out at the end of 2020, receiving a 4-star review from NME & charting at #3 on the Australian Independent Album Charts. “How Long I’d Wait” was added to high rotation & fan-favorite “Close” was named one of Youtube’s Top Aussie Songs of 2020. Woodes signed to Nettwerk Music Group in 2022 and will release new music throughout 2023.
